Another Trip to the Zoo

The weekend before my birthday, Daddy's parents came to visit and Bunny got to stay an extra day, so we went to the zoo again. This time we went to the National Zoo in D.C. We saw pandas, elephants, and all kinds of monkeys. We had fun.

"I'm 1!"

Today was my first birthday. It was such a fun day. We celebrated some this past weekend when Daddy's parents came in town and we are going to next week with Mommy's side of the family, but today it was just the three of us... This morning, I just spent time with Mommy, walking around holding her hand. That is my favorite thing to do. We met Daddy for lunch at Chick-Fil-A and they were handing out samples of vanilla shakes...they must have known it was my birthday! Then, after lunch, Mommy took me to the pool before my nap. It was so hot today and the water felt really good. When I woke up from my nap, Daddy had brought home a "happy birthday" balloon for me. I love balloons! Every time I see one, I start reaching for them and want to hold them. I was so excited. While Mommy was cooking dinner, I walked around with Daddy's finger in one hand and my balloon in the other. Then, after dinner, we celebrated. Mommy will put up more pictures from the weekend and today, but watch me tear into my cupcake on the video below. Thanks for all the birthday wishes!

A day at the zoo

Uncle Noah and Aunt Ellie got us a family pass to the Maryland Zoo for Christmas, and we finally got to go this past Saturday. It was so fun. I loved all the animals...I kept pointing at everything. My favorites were the giraffes, the leopards, the monkeys, and the African penguins. It was so hot though. We sweat really bad and we needed baths when we got home. I can't wait to go back and see the baby elephant. (It wasn't out this time).
